Babycat Slimes - Slime Care Guide
Tips for caring for your slime:
Wash hands before and after play
Limit play to 10 minutes at a time
If you have dry hands, moisturise to avoid stickiness
Is your slime too sticky or stiff?
Due to shipping or weather conditions, sometimes your slime can arrive too sticky or stiff. Don't worry, this is normal and fixable!
If it's too sticky:
Add a few drops of activator mixture (borax powder + water). Only add a tiny bit at a time to avoid over-activating! It also helps to have moisturised hands. It may also help to chill it in the refrigerator.
If it's too stiff:
Place in a warm room and let it sit for awhile. If it's still too stiff, you can add a small amount of glycerin or lotion.
Instructions for making activator:
Add 1 teaspoon of borax powder to 1 cup of hot water, stir to dissolve. Allow mixture to cool, and use a few drops at a time as needed to make slime less sticky. You can also purchase a pre-made activator spray from my shop.
How long does slime last?
With proper care (limiting play to 10 minutes at a time, washing hands before use, keeping it activated periodically) slime can last for several months. Slime can start to melt over time, especially during summer months or if it's kept in a warm room or direct sunlight, so we recommend keeping it in a cool dark place and purchasing activator spray from our store in order to extend the life of your slime.
